The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain an automated vehicle locating application to monitor the fleet of trucks and vehicles for the department of Public Works with options to include other departments if needed, to ensure the safety and efficiency of work zones as assigned.
Any resulting contract or contracts shall become effective upon executed contract and shall be effective through July 31, 2013. The City reserves the right to renew the contract for two (2) additional one-year periods, terminating July 31, 2015. The right is further reserved by the City to not renew the resulting contract at the expiration of any annual anniversary date by furnishing the Contractor with a sixty (60) day written notice. Either the City or the Contractor may terminate the contract without cause by first furnishing the other party sixty (60) days written notice of its intention to terminate. A formal written contract with specifications will be entered into between parties. The proposal submittal shall substantially constitute the contract between the City and the Contractor. Formal written contracts will be drawn by the City, and all contract provisions that have not been stated herein will be drafted and included as necessary.
