Purpose
|
|
The intent of this Request for Proposal is to establish a term contract for engineering services related to construction testing and inspection services (to include special inspections, if required) for roadway construction, capital project inspection, emergency debris removal inspection, utility projects, building and site capital projects, and associated work on an as needed basis.
Contract, if awarded, will be to two (2) or more qualified firms. Work will be delegated on a rotating basis, or work will be delegated to the firm with the most experience in the required field.
The City makes no guarantee of any minimum amount of work to be assigned under this contract. The City reserves the right to perform work in-house or to award large projects on a competitive negotiation basis.

|
The contract shall cover the period beginning upon receipt of signed Agreement and continuing through September 30, 2013, or when the cumulative total project fees reach the maximum cost authorized in this paragraph, whichever comes first.
The sum of all projects performed in one contract term shall not exceed $5,000,000.00; the project fee of any single project shall not exceed $1,000,000.00.
This contract may be renewed based on the terms and conditions herein at the expiration of its term by mutual agreement of the Contractor and the City for four (4) additional one-year periods for a total of five (5) years through September 30, 2017.
