The intent of this Invitation for Bid and resulting contract is to obtain the services of a qualified contractor to provide annual requirements of Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel to be used in emergency generators on an as needed basis at various locations within the City of Suffolk for the City of Suffolk and Suffolk Public Schools in accordance with all specifications, terms and conditions herein. Locations where delivery will be required are contained in Section 7.0. Generators are operated weekly and inspected on a regular basis. Separate contracts for City of Suffolk and Suffolk Public Schools will be required
Service shall be provided for the contract period beginning March 1, 2015 (or immediately upon execution of contract) and continuing through March 31, 2016, contingent upon continued acceptable response time, quality of work, and Contractor's management of project for cost control. The City of Suffolk/Suffolk Public Schools shall have the exclusive option to renew the contract for four (4) additional twelve-month periods through March 31, 2020. The City/Public Schools may terminate the contract for cause, but the City/Public Schools will document the nature of all complaints, and the Contractor will be given the opportunity to take corrective action. Failure to take corrective actions or excessive (in the sole opinion of the City/Public Schools) complaints will result in cancellation of the contract.
