Purpose
|
|
The intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to enter into a contract to provide bulk ice control rock salt treated with anti-caking agent, on an as needed basis to be used by the Department of Public Works Road Maintenance Division for snow removal operations. The City anticipates using approximately 5,000 tons per year; however, actual quantities purchase will be determined by local weather conditions.

|
The contract shall cover the period from date of award through November 30, 2016.
This contract may be renewed based on the terms and conditions at the expiration of its term by mutual agreement of the contractor and the City. The City reserves the option to renew this agreement for two (2) additional one-year periods.
