Prebid/Preproposal Conference: A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the City???s Fleet Management Facility, 120 Forest Glen Drive, Suffolk, Virginia. Although attendance is not mandatory, it is important that all interested bidders be present in order to ask any pertinent questions. Failure of the bidder to attend the Pre-Bid Conference does not relieve the bidder of his obligations to appropriately complete the BID FORM or to carry out the scope of the resulting contract.

The intent of this Invitation for Bid and resulting contract is to obtain the services of a qualified contractor to provide annual requirements of gasoline and fuel oil on an as needed basis at various locations within the City of Suffolk for both the City of Suffolk and Suffolk Public Schools in accordance with all specifications, terms and conditions herein. The locations where delivery will be required are contained under delivery specifications and locations.
Service shall be provided for the contract period beginning August 1, 2020 and continuing through July 31, 2021 contingent upon continued acceptable response time, quality of work, and Contractor's management of project for cost control. The City of Suffolk/Suffolk Public Schools reserves the exclusive option to renew the contract for four (4) additional twelve-month periods through July 31, 2025. The City/Public Schools may terminate the contract for cause, but the City/Public Schools will document the nature of all complaints, and the Contractor will be given the opportunity to take corrective action. Failure to take corrective actions or excessive (in the sole opinion of the City/Public Schools) complaints will result in cancellation of the contract.
